TORONTO—RFID developer SAMSys Technologies Inc. has joined the Research In Motion BlackBerry Independent Software Vendors Alliance Program in hopes of integrating RIM’s BlackBerry solution with SAMSys’ multiprotocol, multi-frequency reader architecture.
“In keeping with our forward-looking and innovative approach to RFID system functionality, we believe that adding wireless communication capability to a network of our readers represents the net generation of functionality we must address,” explained SAMSys’ chairman and chief executive officer Cliff Horwitz. “Through this alliance, we see RIM’s wireless technology as an essential component of that development.”
