Motorola wins GSM contract in Thailand

BANGKOK, Thailand—Thailand’s CP Orange said it signed a US$250 million contract with Motorola to install cellular networks in Thailand’s provinces.

According to a statement by CP Orange, Motorola will install an 1800 MHz GSM network and provide radio access equipment, as well as other integration services, in preparation for a 2.5-generation (2.5G) technology launch later this year.
