Telecom Personal to use Lotus technology

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina—Telecom Personal presented a signed agreement with Lotus to enable its cellular clients to access various mobile services based on WAP from their terminals. This will allow corporate users to have instant access to their company’s intranet information and share schedules.
The technology being incorporated into the terminals is the Personal Information Manager (PIM) of Lotus Development—an IBM company. It facilitates value-added collaborative services.
Telecom Personal is the operator with the highest quantity of users in Argentina, with 2.2 million clients, a number that represents 32 percent of the market share.
