Samsung Intercept and HTC Aria (in Asia) getting Froyo updates

The Android 2.2 boat is trudging along to two phones previously stuck on Android 2.1. Both the Samsung Intercept on Sprint and HTC Aria in Southeast Asia are in the early stages of receiving Froyo through an over-the-air update.
Sprint announced today that Google is sending out an OTA update to Intercept users that will bump the software up to Android 2.2 (Froyo). It will also add “enhancements and fixes” to Sprint navigation, dropped calls after unacknowledged call waiting, and force close errors when opening contacts. Install instructions are available here.
Meanwhile, HTC aria users in Southeast Asia are also being treated to a round of Froyo today. The HTC Sense-based phone will gain access to several Froyo-only functions like Chrome to Phone, faster speeds, and several other Google and third-party apps. Aria users in SEA can expect an update to be sent within the next two weeks.
