CHARLOTTE, N.C.-Glenayre Technologies Inc. slapped back at Research In Motion Ltd., which recently filed a patent lawsuit against the company’s unified message distribution service.
Glenayre said it filed an answer and counterclaim in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, denying RIM’s allegations.
“We have consulted with outside counsel and are under the opinion that RIM’s trademark infringement allegations are groundless,” said Eric Doggett, Glenayre’s president and chief executive officer.
