ADC reorganizes

MINNEAPOLIS-ADC Telecommunications Inc. announced it is reorganizing to better meet its operational and financial objectives.

Rick Roscitt was appointed the company’s new chairman and chief executive officer, and an office of the chairman has been created to bring more focused organizational oversight and leadership to the company, ADC said. Roscitt; Lynn Davis, president and chief operating officer; and Bob Switz, ADC’s chief financial officer, will comprise the new office.

ADC also formed the broadband infrastructure and access organization, which represents the merger of the former broadband connectivity and broadband access and transport groups. The BIA organization will focus on ADC’s digital subscriber line, Internet protocol cable, optics and connectivity businesses.
