REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.-iPass Inc., which provides global remote Internet access services, and Certicom, which provides mobile e-business security, partnered to enable mobile professionals to securely access corporate databases and applications from handheld devices from anywhere.
The alliance includes joint sales and marketing initiatives, interoperability and compatibility testing, development roadmap coordination and exchange of support, tools and training.
After connecting with the iPassConnect PDA client, users will launch Certicom’s movianVPN, which will establish a secure VPN tunnel between itself and the gateway. The user will then log in for permission from the remote location to access company databases and files.
