ARMONK, N.Y.-Melard Technologies Inc., a business-to-business mobile and wireless data systems and services provider, announced an agreement with MobilePlanet, a multichannel direct reseller of name-brand mobile computing and wireless products.
MobilePlanet will make Melard’s SIDEARM, which the company describes as a ruggedized handheld computer, available in its catalog and on its online marketplace. SIDEARM, which can operate for up to 16 hours on a single battery, runs several applications created for the CE platform. It will be available in the March edition of MobilePlanet’s catalog and Web site.
“In today’s competitive world, companies need reliable products to support their mobile work forces from both a capability as well as durability standpoint,” said Dina Gathe, vice president of marketing for MobilePlanet.
