Savos launches streaming audio service

NEW YORK-Savos Inc., New York, launched commercially its “Internet audio technology showcase” to provide streaming audio services to wireless carriers, application service providers and systems integrators.

The company has developed its trademarked MediaCrossbar technology, which functions on existing wireless networks. Through its Web or WAP interface, users can select their menu using audio content available on the Internet. Then they dial an access number from their handset or handheld device and navigate a voice-command system to select the desired audio file, including news, investment briefings, sports, entertainment, music or live, streaming audio.

Savos recently announced a strategic partnership with SK C&C of South Korea to deliver streaming audio services to its wireless partners, including SK Telecom. Savos and SK C&C also have agreed to develop jointly future versions of the Internet audio gateway for 2.5G and 3G wireless networks.
