According to Strategy Analytics’ new market report, “U.S. Cellular Handset Market Status,” Nokia Corp. and Motorola Inc. continue to hold leadership positions in the handset market, while Ericsson continues to lose ground. The firm said Samsung, Audiovox and potentially Kyocera could push past Ericsson unless the company refreshes its product portfolio.
Motorola and Nokia’s success, and first-tier ranking, is most likely due to the companies’ superb market segmentation and overall numbers of model production, according to Strategy Analytics.
