BOYNTON BEACH, Fla.-Motorola Inc. released its Timeport P935 personal interactive communicator, the company’s newest entry in the wireless Web and messaging market.
The wireless clamshell handheld device, powered by Motorola’s Wisdom 4.0 Operating System, includes 4.5 Megabits of total memory and a QWERTY keypad allowing users to type, send and receive e-mail messages. The device also includes an infrared compatible port allowing it to exchange information with other infrared capable products, including personal digital assistants and IrDa-compliant printers.
The P935’s screen can hold up to nine lines by 29 characters of text messages, with a total unit weight of 6.7 ounces with battery. Motorola expects wireless carriers and resellers to sell the P935 by October, with a suggested retail price of less than $400.
