AirGate revises 4Q outlook

ATLANTA-Sprint PCS affiliate AirGate PCS Inc. revised its expectations for the fiscal fourth quarter ending Sept. 30.

AirGate expects its net subscriber additions to reach 30,000, or 75 percent higher than the third quarter. ARPU should remain at $54, while roaming revenue is forecasted to be at least $7.5 million. EBITDA losses are expected to be about $17 million, said the carrier.

“As a result of our rapid construction and aggressive launch schedule, our subscriber growth continues to accelerate as we introduce Sprint PCS products and services in new markets in our territory,” said Thomas Dougherty, president and chief executive officer of AirGate PCS.
