Qsent targets consumers

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore.-Qsent Inc. has been formed to provide wireless Internet services aimed at the consumer market.

Patrick Cox and Kevin Anderson, formerly of Metro One Telecommunications, and Greg Keene of Pacific Harbor Publishing have joined to create Qsent, which will brand its services iQ. The services, available to any Internet-ready wireless device, include iQradio and iQtaxi, which allow users to buy music, find radio stations in unfamiliar cities, make restaurant reservations or request a taxi from wireless devices.

The company aims to sell these services to wireless carriers, businesses and wireless portals, wihch in turn will offer them to customers.
