RCR editorial beats realigned

The RCR editorial staff has realigned its beat coverage for Denver-based reporters in order to capitalize on the rapid changes taking place in the wireless industry.

In addition, RCR reporter Antony Bruno has been promoted to senior writer in recognition of his contributions to the newspaper.

“Antony has an in-depth understanding of the wireless Internet market, and this promotion recognizes those efforts,” said Associate Publisher and Editor Tracy Ford. Bruno has been with RCR since June 1997, initially covering the paging beat.

Denver Bureau Chief Lynnette Luna will lead coverage of the paper’s mobile wireless market, including the cellular and personal communications services industries.

Bruno will spearhead coverage on the wireless Internet and messaging industries.

Reporter Hilary Smith will lead coverage in the broadband wireless communications and mobile satellite industries.

Editorial Assistant Dan Meyer will be in charge of specialized mobile radio industry coverage as well as Bluetooth developments.

“RCR has followed the wireless industry’s expansion beyond its traditional boundaries to the Internet and broadband markets. This realignment ensures our continued commitment to superior news coverage in this dynamic and evolving industry,” Ford said.
