QuickSilver acquires White Eagle

SAN JOSE, Calif.-Mobile communications systems start-up QuickSilver Technology Inc. acquired White Eagle Systems Technology Inc., an engineering turnkey design services company.

“White Eagle brings [digital signal processor] and wireless cellular engineering experience, adding more breadth and depth to QuickSilver’s extensive chip design expertise, engineering and systems know-how, and telecommunications market knowledge,” said Jaime Cummins, president and chief executive officer of QuickSilver.

Dr. Jim Tobias, currently president, CEO and chairman of the board of White Eagle, was appointed chief operating officer of QuickSilver. In addition, Richard Tobias, COO and chief technical officer of White Eagle, was appointed vice president of systems engineering at QuickSilver.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not released.
