VANCOUVER, British Columbia-Sierra Wireless Inc. announced its subsidiary Sierra Wireless SRL has agreed to help integrate radio components from Matsushita Electronic Components Co. Ltd. into its wireless data products. In return, Matsushita will manufacture products in Japan for Sierra Wireless and supply them through Panasonic Canada to Sierra Wireless, according to the agreement.
The first product to be produced under these agreements will be Sierra Wireless’ new Code Division Multiple Access wireless data product, expected to be available commercially later this year.
