Digital Microwave signs deal with infrastructure provider

SAN JOSE, Calif.-Digital Microwave Corp. announced it entered into a strategic partnership sales agreement with a major global telecommunications infrastructure provider.

The agreement with the unnamed company will include Digital Microwave’s line of radios and associated network management systems.

The non-exclusive agreement has an estimated value, according to Digital Microwave, of more than $150 million over a three-year period. Initial orders under the terms of the agreement were received during the last quarter of 1999.

“This agreement marks the continuation of our business emphasis on global partnering to enable customers to easily purchase Digital Microwave’s broad set of products,” said Charles Kissner, chairman and chief executive officer for Digital Microwave. “Through this partnership, we will significantly increase our product exposure, particularly for broadband wireless access solutions.”
