ALEXANDRIA, Va.-Metrocall Inc. reported revenues for the third quarter, ended Sept. 30, of $143 million, an increase of 44 percent from the previous year’s third-quarter revenues of $99.4 million.
The company said it had a net loss of $48 million, or $1.15 per share, compared with a net loss of $33.8 million, or 83 cents per share, for third-quarter 1998.
During the quarter, Metrocall said it had 65,670 net subscriber unit additions, and total subscriber units increased to approximately 5.9 million.
