DDI TO LAUNCH UP.LINK-BASED INTERNET SERVICE

TOKYO-Phone.com Inc. said Japanese carrier DDI Corp. will soon launch a wireless Internet access service based on the UP.Link Server Suite on a Personal Digital Communications network.

In April, DDI launched initial wireless Internet access under the EZweb brand using a cdmaOne network. The new service, provided through DDI-Cellular group and Tu-Ka Group, also will use phones equipped with Phone.-com’s UP.Browser.
