CHICAGO-Cellular One in the Great Lakes region introduced Cellular One to One service, which allows up to 30 different people to talk on a wireless conference call by dialing one group number. Up to 99 groups, with each group containing three to 30 users, can be created, said the company.
“In the past, group calling through two-way radios helped businesses such as construction and delivery services stay in touch and increase productivity,” said Bob Nelson, Cellular One regional president, Great Lakes region.
“Through Cellular One to One, we’ve combined the best features of wireless services and two-way radio to reach a much broader business segment in a variety of different areas, including marketing, real estate and insurance.”
Cellular One to One service also allows users to make and receive unlimited local cellular calls at no additional charge between other Cellular One to One customers, while traveling in the home coverage area.
With Cellular One to One, users can access service through a variety of Digital Edge wireless handsets, the company said.
Rate plans range from $50 to $155 per month, with packs of 300, 600, 1,200 or 1,800 minutes available. Local minutes beyond those included in a user’s package are 25 cents per minute, as are roaming minutes. For group calling, each One to One member is charged 10 cents per minute while in the Cellular One coverage area.
Cellular One serves customers in the Chicago, north central Illinois and northwest Indiana regions.
