CAP GEMINI JOINS EFTIA PARTNER PROGRAM

Eftia OSS Solutions Inc., a Canadian supplier of operational support systems products, announced June 7 that Cap Gemini Telecommunications, a systems integrator, has joined and taken a leading role in its new Consultant Partner Program.

The alliance is designed to enable telecom service providers to rapidly deploy Eftia OSS product solutions with Cap Gemini, an SI dedicated to meeting customer-specific needs, Eftia said.

The two companies’ first joint implementations are scheduled for this fall.

“Cap Gemini is well-positioned to provide an integrated, end-to-end OSS solution for telecommunications customers, and its global presence will help Eftia meet the needs of a broader market,” said Al Somji, president and chief executive officer of Ottawa-based Eftia.

After its staff receives comprehensive training on all Eftia products, Cap Gemini will negotiate agreements, conduct business and process assessments, develop provider-specific integration maps and customize, integrate and test Eftia product solutions, for which it also will offer first-level support. Eftia and Cap Gemini will provide joint support to customers.

As with all participants in its Consultant Partner Program, Eftia’s professional services and customer-care employees will assist Cap Gemini.

The new program includes four levels of partnership to assist systems integrators, consultants and original equipment manufacturers in the delivery of Eftia products into a wide array of operational support system environments, Eftia said. Qualification for a particular level of participation depends on the individual company’s experience, expertise and the number of employees it chooses to dedicate to Eftia projects.
