PALO ALTO, Calif.-Corsair Communications Inc.’s contract with Comunicacion Celular S.A., a cellular operator in the eastern region of Colombia, has been upgraded to provide full nationwide deployment of PhonePrint 5.0, said Corsair.
PhonePrint 5.0 is a fraud-prevention system using radio-frequency fingerprinting to authenticate legitimate customers and disconnect cloned phones. It provides multimarket support, allowing carriers to run several markets from one system, yet view the markets individually or combined across markets for reporting purposes.
Comcel has more than 780,000 subscribers and a footprint that extends to approximately 80 percent of the country, said Corsair.
