HELSINKI-Nokia Inc. bought the research and development units of the TeamWare Group in Tampere, Finland, as well as a small team in Helsinki, said the company.
According to the agreement, approximately 70 people will join Nokia. The deal also includes certain TeamWare wireless information management software products.
“In line with market trends, TeamWare is best positioned to develop intelligent server applications for knowledge management and security in corporations and communities that utilize mobile devices rather than creating the actual client software. This deal accelerates the market development, which will immediately benefit both parties,” said Jukka Norokorpi, president and chief executive officer, TeamWare.
