MALVERN, Pa.-Triton PCS Inc. reported revenues for the first quarter ended March 31 of $11.5 million and a total of 43,741 subscribers.
During the quarter the company launched service in eight new markets in the Southeast, covering about 5 million people.
Triton PCS said it expects to complete the buildout of the first phase of its network this spring with the introduction of service in Richmond, Charlottesville and Roanoke, Va., and Hickory, N.C.
“In addition, we are well on our way in construction of our second phase of the buildout, which will add such markets as the tri-cities area in Bristol, Va., Kingsport and Johnson City, Tenn., as well as major resort destinations including Hilton Head, S.C., and Pinehurst and the outer banks of North Carolina,” said Triton PCS President and Chief Executive Officer Steve Skinner.
