BEDMINSTER, N.J.-Bell Atlantic Mobile announced customer additions for the first quarter totaled 190,000, 50 percent better than first quarter 1998, bringing its total customer base to 6.4 million.
Among the new subscribers, 40 percent chose one of the company’s DigitalChoice SingleRate pricing plans. Launched in September, Bell Atlantic Mobile President and Chief Executive Officer Dennis Strigl said the pricing plan “has completely revolutionized our business.”
