HELSINKI-MobileOne and Nokia Corp. signed a $30 million contract for the sixth expansion of MobileOne’s Global System for Mobile communications 900 network in Singapore, said Nokia.
Under the contract, Nokia will supply its mobile and transit switches, home location register, base stations, base station controllers and smart messaging service centers. As part of the agreement, MobileOne will purchase the Nokia MetroSite solution including the MetroHopper radio. The expanded network is expected to cover more than 400,000 people when it is completed in September.
