WAIKOLOA, Hawaii-BellSouth Wireless Data L.P. announced it has entered into a strategic
alliance with VeriFone Inc., a division of Hewlett-Packard Co., to develop wireless point-of-sale solutions.
The two
said they will work together to create end-to-end solutions linking wireless credit card terminals to the BellSouth
Intelligent Wireless Network, expected to be available later this year.
VeriFone provides electronic payment
systems for financial institutions, merchants and other customers.
