ERICSSON, TRITEL ENTER INFRASTRUCTURE DEAL

RICHARDSON, Texas-Ericsson Inc. and Tritel Communications Inc. announced they signed a
$300 million agreement for Ericsson to supply Time Division Multiple Access infrastructure equipment for Tritel’s
personal communications services markets located in the southeastern United States.

Ericsson said Tritel will
deploy the 1900 MHz digital systems throughout Mississippi, Alabama, as well as parts of Tennessee, Kentucky,
Indiana and Georgia.

Under the agreement, Ericsson will provide network equipment, including the MSC 2000 and
5000 mobile switching centers, operation support systems and services.
