CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-Gensym Corp. and Ericsson Hewlett-Packard Telecommunications
announced they installed the EHPT Fault Management eXpert at Rogers Cantel, a Canadian national wireless
communications service provider.
The FMX network product provides solutions for the analysis of all network fault
and performance data. According to Stefan Elmstedt, EHPT vice president and general manager of operation support
systems, the “FMX provides an integrated network overview that facilitates extremely fast identification of any
network fault.”
The system enables operators with no programming expertise to access the knowledge of
network experts in the form of graphical models and user-defined rules. By enabling routine and tedious tasks to be
automated, FMX frees operators to focus on the most important problems, the company said.
