SAN FRANCISCO-Bellcore announced its AirBoss microbrowser will feature Information Mechanics’ WebTek wireless data application as its first commercial application.
The AirBoss microbrowser, which supports Handheld Device Markup Language, allows dispatchers and field employees to exchange information via two-way pagers, cellular phones and other mobile devices, the company said.
AirBoss was demonstrated at the Mobile and PDA Expo here last week.
The WebTek application gives organizations the ability to transmit work order information to mobile employees from multiple locations, Information Mechanics said.
