ORLANDO, Fla.-GTE Telecommunication Services Inc. said its FraudX product is commercially available.
FraudX, the company’s second-generation wireless fraud detection system, addresses fraud in both home and roaming markets as well as subscription fraud, said the company. The system uses knowledge-based technology to build a profile of typical individual subscriber activity and compares the profile with current subscriber activity to identify suspicious behavior.
FraudX takes care of cloning fraud, as well as subscription fraud and dealer-agent fraud, said Sheralyn Esparza, sales solutions manager at GTE TSI. It is a detection system that allows carriers to send a message to a third-party system to automatically cut off future calls.
