CAIRO, Egypt-Mobinil, a Global System for Mobile communications network operator in Egypt, awarded a contract, valued at up to $60 million, to Motorola Inc.’s Cellular Infrastructure Group.
Motorola CIG will provide and install infrastructure equipment to expand Mobinil’s network to include Alexandria and the Nile Delta, an area covering 30 million people, the companies said. The 900 MHz network serves about 110,000 subscribers today.
