BEIJING-Lucent Technologies Inc.’s Communications Software business group established a new Asia Pacific Communications Software Regional Technical Center in Beijing to develop communications software products for markets in China and other parts of the world, said the company.
Dr. Carl Hsu, acting group president of the CS business group, said Lucent will invest more than $25 million developing communications software at the center during the next three years. The center also will employ about 200 scientists and engineers.
