MELBOURNE, Fla.-Harris Corp. said it formed a partnership with ADC Metrica to offer ADC’s performance management tools as part of Harris’ network management service platform.
The Harris platform offers unified network management capability for remote access to all network nodes, which allows real-time network monitoring, detailed trouble reporting information, quicker service response times and reduced staff and operational budget, said Harris.
The addition of ADC Metrica’s performance management software-designed to gather data from diverse sources, provides a comprehensive view of key performance indicators, forecast performance trends and adapt easily to network growth and change-allows Harris to offer service providers a more robust network management package, said Harris.
Through the partnership, Harris said it can alert service providers to potential performance problems in the network in real time as well as provide network element fault data. The new functionality highlights potential weaknesses in the network, such as increased network congestion, use and grade of service, delays, call loss ratios, and end-to-end circuit availability.
