INDIANAPOLIS-Brightpoint Inc., a distribution and value-added logistics services provider to the wireless communications industry, today announced the following changes to its financial management team:
Thomas Butler joined Brightpoint as the vice president, North American controller. Since 1986, Butler had been working with Eli Lilly and Io. He brings more than 14 years of business planning and controllership experience to the company.
Brian Smith also joined Brightpoint as the new director of treasury. Smith most recently was president and senior relationship manager for Bank One, Indiana, since 1993. He brings 13 years of corporate finance and treasury management experience to the company.
Trevor Eagleson was promoted to director of internal audit. After spending eight years with Ernst & Young L.L.C., Eagleson joined Brightpoint in May 1997 as the assistant corporate controller.
Matthew Brown was promoted to assistant corporate controller. After six years with Ernst & Young, Brown joined Brightpoint as the North American controller in February 1997.
Gregory Wiles is the new external reporting manager. Since 1996, Wiles held the same position with Anacomp Inc. and was its supervising senior auditor and senior auditor since 1991. He joins Brightpoint with more than seven years of external reporting and auditing experience.
