ATLANTA-Harris Corp. said it will demonstrate its new Access Device 2000 at Supercomm this week in Atlanta. The work force wireless/ wireline tool combines field work force connectivity with ease of use and reduced learning curves, said the company.
AD2000 lets field technicians assess corporate databases or embedded test systems simply by touching icons displayed on the liquid crystal display. The unit works seamlessly with open standards and features a 50-hour field battery life, said Harris.
A built-in modem supports e-mail, Internet and fax applications. The ruggedized product also can connect to a cellular phone or wireless modem.
