HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.-Microwave Power Devices Inc. was awarded a $7.4 million contract from Litton PRC Inc. to supply it with 700-watt radio-frequency amplifiers for an upgrade program Litton is performing for the U.S. Air Force AN/FPS-85 Phased Array Radar.
This order brings MPDI’s backlog to about $95 million, of which about half is for commercial products and the other half military, the company said.
The contract begins immediately with shipments scheduled to begin at the end of this quarter and continue throughout 1999, MPDI said.
