PHOENIX-AG Communication Systems introduced Incoming Call Screening, an application that enables wireless service providers to offer enhanced call-management services to their subscribers, said the company.
INgage ICS is a wireless intelligent network application that allows subscribers to filter incoming calls before the call reaches their handset. Subscribers can instruct the system to place a priority ring on calls from certain individuals, block calls from certain area codes and route calls to voice mail or other phone numbers, according to the Phoenix-based company.
The service offers many possible deployment variations that can be governed by the carrier. Network access restrictions imposed by the originating switch may further restrict calls, like those requiring toll or international access, said AGSC. The originating switch may be restricted further by the facilities requested, such as a specific interexchange carrier.
