NEW YORK-Price Communications Wireless Inc. said its service revenues increased 22 percent to a record $40.1 million during the fourth quarter, compared with service revenues of $32.8 million during the fourth quarter of 1996.
Service revenues for the year totaled $152.2 million, 19.6 percent more than revenues of $127.3 million during 1996.
The company said it added nearly 20,000 net subscribers during the quarter, 31 percent more than the 14,724 it added during the fourth quarter of 1996. Price’s cellular subscriber base totaled 309,606 at the end of the year.
