BELL ATLANTIC’S FRAUD DECREASES

ATLANTA-Bell Atlantic Mobile said it attributes its 74-percent decrease in home and roaming cellular fraud losses to continued deployment of authentication and radio-frequency fingerprinting technologies and the company’s launch of Code Division Multiple Access technology.

“When we rolled out our DigitalChoice CDMA service last year, we gave our customers an extra layer of protection against fraud,” said Eileen Creeden, director of fraud control for Bell Atlantic Mobile.
