HOLLYWOOD, Fla.-Vivox USA Inc. said it will distribute its products internationally through Tessco Inc. of Sparks, Md., under a new agreement signed between the two companies.
The agreement covers Vivox’s hands-free cellular car kit, the Vivox Lite VL-1, which uses a car’s cassette player to amplify sound from a cellular phone through existing car speakers. Initially, the VL-1 will be offered in five models compatible with more than 50 wireless handsets, said Vivox. Additional models, including ones compatible with 1900 MHz personal communications services handsets, will be introduced in the future, said Vivox.
Each hands-free kit includes a special cassette, earpiece for private listening, an adapter for cellular phones without a built-in earphone jack and a pouch for transport and storage. It retails for between $40 and $60.
