USTEL BEGINS TAILORED BILLING

CULVER CITY, Calif.-UStel Inc. announced that its new proprietary, in-house billing service began operation after nine months of development and parallel testing.

The company’s chief executive officer, Robert Diener, said the new system is a major step in the company’s strategy of becoming a vertically integrated telecommunications services provider.

The new system is designed to provide more timely, flexible and analytical information on each bill. “This system provides many types of customers with individually tailored billing service; it also allows UStel to gather better information about our customer base and its usage,” said Wouter van Biene, executive vice president of information systems for UStel.
