LONDON-Racal Telecom announced it has signed an agreement with U.K.-based Vodafone Distribution Ltd. to provide the corporate market with an integrated package of mobile and managed fixed voice and data services.
Through the alliance, Racal will provide Vodafone with data, voice, messaging, private circuits and managed services. Data services will include local and wide area networking, remote access services and fixed voice. Racal will be the primary systems integrator and support organization.
The bundled service, targeted at medium- and large-sized businesses, will be available next year, said Racal. The company said its growth strategy, supported by its national network, is designed to allow both partners to enter a broader corporate market.
“The catalyst for this cooperative marketing arrangement is the clear synergy between the two partners-the sum of the offerings provides Vodafone a cohesive and credible service package, which is supported by integrated processes for service delivery,” said Richard Bligh, Racal marketing director.
“The concept of one supplier being totally accountable for the provision of core services based on simplified distance, independent tariffs, structured discounts and single billing is a compelling proposition.”
According to CIT Research, Racal is Europe’s leading provider of managed network and support services. Vodafone is the leading mobile phone operator in the United Kingdom with more than 3 million subscribers, of which about 2 million are on its digital network.
