DALLAS-PrimeCo Personal Communications L.P. announced a roaming agreement with Clearnet Communications Inc. which will expand its PrimeTravel digital service to most major Canadian cities, including Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal by early next year.
PrimeCo said it currently is negotiating an agreement with a provider in Mexico and expects to offer PrimeTravel digital service throughout North America during the first quarter of 1998.
“Clearnet operates one of the most extensive digital networks in Canada,” said Lowell McAdam, president and chief executive officer of PrimeCo. “We recently signed roaming agreements that give PrimeCo customers access to three of the largest wireless networks in the U.S. We are delighted to extend their ability to roam into Canada.”
