ATLANTA-Digital Transmission Systems Inc., a telecommunications equipment maker, recently announced that it received a $5.4 million order from a national wireless carrier.
The order, which the company says is the largest in its history, is for more than 6,000 FlexT1 units and associated equipment. About $2 million of FlexT1 equipment will be deployed by the end of the year, with the rest scheduled to be deployed by June.
The FlexT1 line allows for network access multiplexing and enhanced services. It integrates voice signals from cell site equipment and other sources, then transmits them to mobile switching offices.
