Root Inc. introduced the Rz96003, a 2.4 GHz industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) band spread spectrum multiplexed wireless modem that has a transmission rate of up to 2 megabits per second. The modem can transfer 57.6 kilobits per second of continuous data each direction simultaneously when used in the configuration that uses eight full duplex channels. The modem also can be configured to have up to 13 full duplex channels at 38.4 kilobits per second, or 16 channels operating at 19.2 kilobits per second.
