MONTREAL-Users of Microcell Solutions Inc.’s personal communication service, Fido, can now roam in France, England, Switzerland, Germany and Hong Kong, said the company.
Fido customers in these countries can use their own Fido number. Roaming in other countries will be available soon, said Microcell.
“Our ultimate goal is to make it easy, practical and affordable to use wireless communications worldwide,” said Andre Tremblay, president and chief executive officer of Microcell Telecommunications. “With [Global System for Mobile communications] networks in over 100 countries the world over, Fido and his smart card are quickly becoming the communications passport to the world.”
