PROVIDENCE, R.I.-Sprint Spectrum L.P. began offering personal communication services in New England, including the cities of Providence, R.I., Boston, Manchester, N.H., and Portland, Maine.
Sprint PCS offers home service areas in which customers pay only their local airtime rates. The New England home service area will include Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and the New York metropolitan area.
Sprint PCS is offering rates as low as 10 cents per minute to new subscribers. The $30/300 plan includes 150 peak and 150 off-peak minutes per month, with additional minutes for 25 cents.
Sprint PCS serves more than 90 metropolitan markets in over 500 major cities, and said it has the largest 100-percent digital, single-technology, nationwide wireless network.
