SEATTLE-GoAmerica Communications Corp. announced it signed a licensing agreement with Unwired Planet Inc. at the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association’s Wireless APPS ’97 conference last week.
The agreement will add the Redwood Shores, Calif.-based company’s UP.Link Server Suite for wireless handheld devices to Hackensack, N.J.-based GoAmerica’s portfolio of wireless data offerings. UP.Link is the backend server that allows phones that use Handheld Device Markup Language to access such services as Internet and intranet data, e-mail, schedules and address book information.
