CHARLOTTE, N.C.-China’s Ministry of Post and Telecommunications launched its FLEX-based Nationwide High Speed Paging Network in 11 provincial capital cities. The system uses high-speed paging systems from Glenayre Technologies Inc., said the company.
Glenayre said the Chinese paging network is the first in the world to provide FLEX roaming, which is made possible by using the Inter-switch Paging Network Protocol, according to Glenayre. IPNP was developed jointly by the MPT, Glenayre and Motorola Inc. as China’s nationwide network standard.
